Exclusive Ticket Offer to see “The Comedy Errors” starring Lenny Henry

We are really pleased to announce our first exclusive promotion of the year with the National Theatre - a great ticket offer for Apostrophe guests to see The Comedy of Errors starring Lenny Henry at the Olivier Theatre.

Dominic Cooke, Artistic Director of the Royal Court, makes his NT debut directing Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors with Lenny Henry, in his first appearance at the National, playing Antipholus of Syracuse. This is Henrys’ second Shakespearian role in the West End after his much acclaimed Othello for which he won the 2009 Evening Standard Outstanding Newcomer Award.

For this production Shakespeare’s furiously paced comedy will be staged in a contemporary world into which walk three prohibited foreigners who see everything for the first time…

For information on how to redeem this offer please see flyers in all Apostrophes.

WE ALSO HAVE 10 PAIRS OF TICKETS TO GIVE AWAY - check our facebook page for details of how to win a pair!

Apostrophist of the Year 2011 Winner Announced

Throughout 2011 we've been taking photos of Apostrophe regulars who we think are a testament to the creativity and style of our guests. We've been documenting these "Apostrophist" styles by uploading their photos onto our Facebook albums.

For the 2nd year in a row, we are delighted to have selected the winning Apostrophist of the year.

After choosing our top 10 styles, which can be viewed on the Apostrophist 2011 Finalists album, our Facebook fans voted for their favourite 3.

A judging panel comprised of influential fashion and food blogger Charlie May (‘Girl a la Mode’), senior lecturer at the London College of Fashion, Thomas Elliott, and stylist Hannah Thompson (Elle), have now selected the overall winner.

We are delighted to announce that Daryl is our Apostrophist of the Year 2011 and winner of free coffee at Apostrophe for a year. Susan and Annie, the 2 runner-ups, will each receive a hamper of Apostrophe goodies.

Thank you to all our Apostrophists for making 2011 a very "stylish" year and we look forward to documenting the styles of our guests in 2012.

NEW DRINK: chocolate chilli espresso

We think we've created a winning combination: apostrophe espresso shots, mixed with our famous hot chocolate, then topped with hazelnut syrup infused with fresh chilli. It has just the right amount of "oomph" and "haaaaa".

We've launched this drink for the festive season, give us your feedback on facebook and if it proves popular we'll add it to our permanent drinks list.

Apostrophe is 10!

Our first 10 years – wow that went by quickly!

We've come a long way from our first store in Shoreditch in 2001. We've crossed London all the way up to Westfield, and in 2008 ventured out as far as Heathrow & Gatwick Airports. We've opened small neighbourhood stores like the ones at Notting Hill Gate & Brunswick, and large flagship ones like the one at Baker Street, and recently also a small kiosk by the Tower of London.

We are proud to have served over 6 million of our signature coffees and 3 million freshly made sandwiches.

Over the past 10 years our baristas have been making smooth & velvety cappuccinos and lattes, when the norm in London was coffee topped with bubbly, frothy milk. It was really nice to get recognised by Time Out readers last year as being runner-up BEST CUP OF COFFEE in London.

We also introduced Londoners to proper thick hot chocolate, still recognised as being among the best in our spoilt-for-choice city.

Did you know that our Shoreditch store was the first in London to introduce communal seating, now a "must have" at trendy cafes across town. We were also first to treat our guests to free wifi and minted water refills.

And our pink logo continues to raise eyebrows, 10 years after its launch, when it was radically different from anything else on the high street.

We continue to strive to provide authentic, freshly made food & drink, attentive guest service and innovative store designs.

This October sees us kicking off our 10th anniversary celebrations with a new loaylty card and celebratory morning offer...check out our facebook posts for regular prizes and rewards.

New Loyalty Card introduced

To launch our 10th anniversary celebrations, we are delighted to introduce a new loyalty card.

We will now give you a stamp for every hot drink you purchase, instead of per visit, so the new card will enable regulars to collect points for a free hot drink much quicker. We will of course still be honouring old cards, so don’t worry if you're just one purchase away from your free drink! We'll be swapping your old card for the new one on your next visit.

Coffee & Croissant for only £2.95

Quality doesn't always come at a price.

To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are running a great breakfast offer – any regular size coffee and croissant for only £2.95!

Our butter croissants are baked fresh every day using the famous French Isigny butter. They are an ideal complement to Apostrophe coffee, roasted to our own specifications to achieve a perfect strong espresso or a smooth cappuccino.

Great combination at a great price to cheer you up as the mornings get darker and colder.

Sent to the Tower...

...well sort of…we are very excited about our new kiosk at the entrance to the Tower of London. The kiosk stands by the edge of the river, facing Tower Bridge on one side, the Tower of London on the other and Bankside opposite. We have a large terrace seating area where you can enjoy the breathtaking views while sipping a coffee and enjoying a sandwich.

Bear with us for the first three months while we operate with a more limited menu and before the complete redesign of the kiosk. Follwoing that we will be re-opening with our full menu offering, a brand new kiosk design, including a large English terrace, with sunloungers, umbrellas and all. Here's a peek preview...

Try our amazing new muffins & cakes selection

We've just launched 2 new muffins - a zestily sweet pear & lemon and an energising banana & oat bran. These unique apostrophe recipes join our already popular triple chocolate and blueberry muffins.

In addition to the new muffin range, we've added to our selection of cakes and tarts. These now include a luxurious roasted fig & almond cream tart, and crispy apple, pear & apricot tarts.

Give yourself and break and enjoy these with one of our smooth cappuccinos!

Now open at Gatwick South landside

Apostrophe's first airport landside location means our freshly made food and signature drinks can now be enjoyed by all visitors to Gatwick South. We've created a modern and bright design, bringing a slice of London life into Gatwick. So whether you'd like a quick take-away bite & drink, a relaxing break or an airport meeting venue, this apostrophe is the perfect choice.

The Apostrophist - homage to our guests

Since 2010 we have been taking photos of Apostrophe customers who we feel have made a style statement. We have been documenting these styles by uploading the photos onto albums on our Facebook page Apostrophist 2010 & Apostrophist 2011.  Over 100 photos are included in the albums, which have proven a testament to the creativity and style of our guests.

In search of the 'Apostrophist of the Year 2010', we asked our fans to vote for their favourites and produce a shortlist of images. These were given to the Fashion Editor of InStyle magazine,

Natalie Hartley who has selected her favourite to be crowned winner.

We will be taking pictures of our "style-conscious" guests throughout 2011, so keep an eye out for our photographers as we begin the hunt for the Apostrophist 2011.
