
TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting an entry in the competition, participants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which form the rules of the competition.
• Participants must complete and return a digital image of their entry to entry@window-wonderland.com, ensuring that the file size is no larger than 2MB.
• Apostrophe takes no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of postage or delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt. Artwork will not be returned to the participant.
• Artwork submitted should be original and exclusive work of the participant. It must be work that has not been published in any way previously, or entered in any other competitions. Submissions will be disqualified if plagiarism is detected.
• Once submitted, all entries will be subject to Apostrophe copyright 2009. Any intellectual property rights in the submitted artwork, including the rights to use, publish, circulate and reproduce, are transferred to Apostrophe.
• The entry form includes the following personal information: surname, first name, sex, date of birth, full time school, home address, town/city, postal code, telephone number, mobile number and e-mail address. Participants bear full responsibility for the complete and accurate submission of their personal information on the entry form.
• Participants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the UK.
• Each participant is eligible to submit only ONE piece of artwork.
• Apostrophe reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at its discretion, or to alter the dates of the competition, or the way the competition is conducted for any reason, after publishing this change on www.window-wonderland.com.
• The competition launches on 5th October 2009. Final submissions are due on 2nd November 2009.
• Participants will be judged on the originality and artistry of the work and its relevance to the theme of Window Wonderland.
• A panel of judges from Apostrophe and the art world will select 11 finalists. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with participants.
• Selected finalists will be required to send a CMYK high resolution JPEG version of their artwork on CD to the following address: Apostrophe, 12 Devereux Court, London WC2R.
• Selected artwork will be printed on vinyl and applied to the window of one of 11 Apostrophe branches. Artwork must be limited to a single space of 1.5m2.
• All 11 finalists will receive free regular-size coffee or tea at any Apostrophe branch for 6months. They will be issued with a photo ID and will need to present this in order to redeem their free drink. Only 1 free drink per visit is allowed. This cannot be exchanged or transferred and has no cash value.
• One overall winner will be selected. The winning entry will receive the following prize:
- if a student currently in full time education, or graduating from full time education within the last year, an educational bursary of £1000
- if not currently in full time education or graduating from full time education within the last year, a donation of £1000 to a charity of their choice
• The results of the competition will be announced on the Apostrophe website within 15 working days of the closing date. The competition winners will be notified by email and in writing at the address supplied on the entry form. Apostrophe bears no responsibility in the event of unsuccessful attempts to notify the winner, which are due to the submission of inaccurate or incomplete personal data on the entry form.
• Apostrophe bears no responsibility for any possible infringement of intellectual property rights of third parties arising from the artwork submitted.
• Immediate family or employees of Apostrophe or Intelligent PR are excluded from the competition.
